This is our signature 1 hour ride especially designed for the timid and the tender tushed. We stroll along the irrigation canal sheltered by Cottonwoods until we wind our way up an old wagon road leading to a spectacular view of the Black Mesa Clubhouse, the # 8 green and the driving range. Our guides will pay attention not to get too close as they head down the arroyo back to the comfort and shade of the Cottonwoods, following the canal back to the stable. This is a perfect introductory ride or a nice mid-morning ride to help build your appetite before lunch.

Open Range Ride
$75.00 per person

This 2 hour ride starts on the same trail as the "Greenhorn Loop" but continues away from the clubhouse across a sandstone ridge into the open spaces that surround Black Mesa Golf Club. You will enjoy spectacular views of the Jemez and Sangre De Cristo Mountain ranges along with peek-a-boo views of the back nine fairways. You will appreciate the stability and surefooted nature of our ranch stock as you head over sandstone hills and drop down into arroyos. This is not your average nose to tail trail ride so bring your camera.
